News 10 ABC: #GivingOn10: Pioneer school supply drive

"School of course is not far off now, just around the corner, weeks away. So, it’s time for some shopping. But for those who may be struggling to buy all of the necessary supplies, as we know those lists gets longer and more involved every year, one organization is here to help with a school supply drive.

The Pioneer Charitable Foundation will be packing up school supplies like pens, pencils, crayons, and notebooks into backpacks. They will then deliver the backpacks to the Capital City Rescue Mission for its big Backpack Giveaway Party. Part of Pioneer’s “helping kids be kids" program, the Foundation has raised more than $1.2 million dollars for nearly 400 non-profits in the Capital Region since 2018."
