"Dozens took the plunge into Lake George Saturday in an effort to raise money for Special Olympics New York.
After the Polar Plunge, Pioneer made a big splash by presenting a check for $20,000 for the Special Olympics -- $15,000 of it is set to support unified sports programs across the state.
The funds help to ensure athletes won’t need to pay for their own equipment, such as jerseys, and also subsidize the cost of rental space to hold games."
